About Me

Hey there! My name is Ally, and I want to thank you for checking out DailyDogHealth.com and everything I have to share about dog health and nutrition.

I got my first dog straight out of college, as a 21-year-old. I always grew up with dogs, but none of them were MINE. I was lost and extremely confused about my life, but knew she would be there through it all. And, she really has been. To this day, she is such a model for what unconditional love truly looks like. So… this blog and every minute spent researching and writing is for her. To reciprocate even the ounce of unconditional love she has shown me.

About my Dog (Jill!)

Jill is a 70 lb bernedoodle full of energy, love, and NO boundaries. She is known around the block as the ‘baby bear’. With black hair all around, she looks quite scary (especially at night!). But, if you look into her eyes, you will see nothing but love and pure joy. It’s hard not to want to give her the world, which is why I have spent countless hours learning and researching.

About my blog (Dailydoghealth.com!)

Right when I made the decision to get a puppy, I started researching about all things: raising a dog. Reading titles like ‘Things you must do on DAY ONE’ to ‘Things your pup MUST eat to live longer’ made me not only overwhelmed but also guilty if I couldn’t follow the strict schedule!

I realized if I wanted to give Jill the best life I could offer, I needed to do my OWN research. With a bachelor’s degree in biology & nutrition, research has always been something I loved to do.

So, this blog is where I get to share the good, the bad, and everything in between related to dog health and nutrition. For Jill, and all the puppy parents out there that also feel overwhelmed by the vast sea of information on the web!

Just a girl with her dog living our best life, trying to spread some of this love and knowledge with others! <3
